The course will involve:

  • Learning how to create a bias brim, a technique which works well with waffle and plain sinamay and enables you to block difficult shapes as well as creating brims using less material.
  • You will create up to 2 headpieces on a blocked pillbox.

You will need:

4 metres of waffle sinamay
2 metres of complimentary colours plain sinamay
3 metres of cotton covered bendy wire to tone (can be coloured if white)
3 meters of spring wire
Small button block
complimentary petersham

You will leave with:

  • Up to 2 bias brimmed headpiece and associated trims
  • The knowledge to block a bias piece top make a brim.
  • The knowledge to create more and inspiration to use them in your designs.
