Please note – all studio appointments must be made prior to your visit as we do not offer a walk-in service.
Our most popular appointment service is our in studio face-to-face appointment with one of our in-house milliners. This appointment will allow you to try on the hats and headpieces in our hire collection with your outfit.
How to book your appointment…
Firstly, call us on 01423 816511 to book your appointment. Appointments run Monday – Friday between the hours of 10am-4pm, and appointments begin on the hour (If you require an evening or Saturday appointment, please let us know well in advance and we can try to accommodate this)
We give each client a 1-hour time slot for their appointment to ensure we find the best hire hat for their outfit. Appointments may not necessarily take the full hour, however, please allow this long so that we can guarantee we find you the perfect match. All appointments are non-obligatory.
How do the appointments work?
We ask that you bring your entire outfit, along with any accessories (shoes, bag, jewellery etc.) to your appointment. We have a changing room in the studio which you can use to change into your outfit – this way it allows us to envisage the entire look along with your chosen hat or headpiece.
Once you have changed into your outfit, we will have a brief discussion to determine your role at the event (e.g. Mother of the Bride, Racing Enthusiast) and also the formality of the setting (for example, some hats may be more suited to a church wedding than a casual wedding). We will also use this opportunity to find out whether you have a particular style of hat/headpiece that you were hoping to try.
We will then proceed to try on a selection of hats and headpieces that work for your face shape, skin tone and hair colour, along with suiting your outfit choice. Once the hat or headpiece has been selected, we will arrange with you when you would like to collect and return the hat to us (hat hire period is around 1-week) – Alternatively, we can arrange to post the hat to you before your event, and you return to us afterwards.
Each piece of millinery that we make is completely unique as we only make one of each design. Therefore, you can guarantee that you will have a one-off design for your special day.
We take payment for the hat hire at the time of booking to make your collection day much more seamless. On the day you collect your hat, we ask that you come any time between 10am-3pm to collect, and your hat will be ready for you in a Jenny Robert Millinery hat box with your details on it.
For hat returns, the same process as collecting applies – return anytime between 10am-3pm on the arranged return date.
