About your Tutor

Jenny Roberts is one of the North’s leading milliners. Recognised for her couture brand, she has been creating beautifully crafted pieces for her clients for over 15 years.  Over the last 9 years she has gained an international reputation for the Millinery School, teaching to the highest standard for hobby and professional milliners.

Offering a variety of classes from her Harrogate based School Jenny is thrilled to be offering this course virtually.

You will leave with:
An understanding of which different hat shapes work for different face shapes, body shapes and dress silhouettes.
Practical skills in blocking of sinamay, wiring pillboxes, attaching petersham and head fastenings.
Samples of a variety of sinamay trims and understanding of how to secure them to your base.
An understanding of design, proportion, balance and the application of colour

Information on suppliers and materials in order to create your own headpieces

Here is a little more information;

Our address is Cold Bath Place, off Cold Bath Road, HG2 0PQ.  There is free parking in and around the streets adjacent to us and also on Cold Bath Road, if possible avoid parking outside the shop as we may have clients coming in and out.

There are lots of lovely sandwich shops to find lunch and we will as always provide teas and coffees and snacks throughout the day, should you want to bring your lunch we have a fridge.

We will start at 9.30am (please arrive for coffee/tea from 9.15am) and we will finish at 3.30pm.

Please can you bring with you an apron and a bag to take your work home with you.  Also best not to wear clothes that might snag or ruin.
