Wear a Hat Day Spring Afternoon Tea for BTRS
Hats off to North Yorkshire fundraisers
Over £4,500 for Brain Tumour Research and Support across Yorkshire has been raised by a group of North Yorkshire businesses women through a Spring Hats and Afternoon Tea fashion fundraiser.
Jenny Roberts, of Jenny Roberts Millinery, Kirstyn Pollard, MD of integrated marketing agency Raw Creative along with friends Sarah Wheelhouse and Sarah McHugh came together to run the event at the White Hart Hotel Tea Rooms, Harrogate, on 29th March – National Wear a Hat Day.
The event saw special guest, Harrogate Mayor Michael Newby, outnumbered by over 80 female guests, a champagne reception, a fashion and themed afternoon tea, and a raffle.
Jenny said: “We would like to thank everyone for their support and are absolutely delighted to have raised such a significant amount of money. We would also like to thank all of the businesses and individuals that donated to the cause and that got involved. We hope that the money raised goes some way in helping such a brilliant cause.”#
