10 Session The Business of Millinery Course and 1-2-1 Mentoring Programme
When: Thursday evenings, not continuous but also avoiding school holidays, see below for actual dates

Your Tutor:
Jenny will be taking you through the content of the course and taking your individual mentoring sessions. The content is based on her experience running a successful millinery business for the last 15 years and previous experience working in the retail sector in business planning and marketing. In addition a Social Media tutor co-hosts the social media week so in depth knowledge about the subject can be transferred.
Who is the course for?
Students who want to start monetising their millinery passion.This could be as a small scale hobby business, a wholesale business or a customer facing operation.
About the Course
The aim of the course is to introduce students to all aspects of running a profitable millinery business.The first part of the course looks at your goals, your competition and your market.The second part looks at understanding your customer, your products and the service you provide.Finally the latter part of the course tackles branding, financial planning and marketing strategies.Throughout we will be sharing our first hand experience and mentoring students in how to build a successful millinery business.
Each session will have full notes which can be downloaded from your personal business log on in the business portal.

Choose to give a beautifully wrapped voucher for one of our virtual courses with our International Millinery School.
The recipient can choose any course to the value of their voucher or alternatively use the voucher towards a alternative course.
The voucher will be hand tied with ribbon and include a voucher with your gift message and details of our school.
Those who want to learn the couture techniques involved in creating a button crown and brim hat. This is an advance course and would only be suitable for a milliner who has had a lot of of blocking perchers experience.
This hands-on workshop takes you through step by step how to create all the elements in this beautiful beaded comb.
It is advised to complete the beaded hair vine course if you don't have any prior experience of beading with wire.
Those who want to explore working with Parasisal straw and experiment with the many possibilities it brings. Previous experience of blocking sinamay is needed and experience of sewing.
NB - if students are joining us from Aus/NZ time zones it is possible to leave the course at 1pm (uk time) and you will be given instructions on what to complete for the following day
Those who are interested in vintage inspired materials. Also those who want to incorporate lace, veiling and beadwork onto their designs to give a vintage or bridal inspired feel.
This hands-on workshop furthers your understanding and manipulation of ‘Crin’
It is advised to do the 'Introduction to Crin' prior to this course if you don't have previous experience with crin.
